Jo
Sonja's Flow Medium
Jo Sonja's Flow
Medium is an acrylic-flattening agent used to level out the textural
properties of Jo Sonja's Artists' Colors. Flow Medium is used to
thin paints and other mediums. Water may dilute paint's acrylic
binder, reducing its adhesive qualities. When Flow Medium is added
in small amounts, it produces a thinner, smoother paint which leaves
no brush marks.
|
|
Directions
- Mix into
desired color using brush or palette knife starting at a ratio
of 2 parts paint to 1 part Flow Medium.
- Flow Medium
must be mixed well into paint before application. Use this mix
for all techniques requiring a smooth finish, such as basecoating.
Facilitates the flow of paint for line work and other fine details.
The addition of Flow Medium to the paint may increase the drying
and curing time depending on climate conditions.
- Flow Medium
may be added to Varnish and All Purpose Sealer. Start with 1 part
Flow Medium to 4 parts Varnish or All Purpose Sealer. Adjust as
needed for your climatic conditions.

AIRBRUSHING
Begin with 3
parts Flow Medium to 1 part paint to reduce the viscosity of Jo
Sonja's Artists' Colors or Mediums. This will vary with your style
and equipment. The addition of Flow Medium to Clear Glaze Medium
may have an undesirable "fish eye" effect when sprayed onto the
surface.
