Jo Sonja's Seminars

Most of our classes are held at our studio in Eureka, a small coastal community centered amongst the towering redwoods of Northern California. We also have classes in Lancaster, PA and Salt Lake City, UT.

For our Eureka classes, we provide transportation to and from the airport and from your lodgings daily. Several hotels are located right next door to our studio and a variety of restaurants are nearby.

All of our classes are 5 days long. The studio opens at 8:00 AM each day with instruction beginning at 9:00 AM and lasting until 6:00PM each class day. The studio remains open at night until 9:00PM for those who wish to paint in the evenings. An experience that allows you to fully immerse yourself in your painting.

Travel Informationn
Driving: Eureka is located on the coast of Northern California approximately 200 miles north of San Francisco. If you are driving from San Francisco, it is a beautiful scenic drive along Highway 101, through the wine country north of San Francisco and the Redwood National Forest bordering Eureka.

Flying: Both United Airlines and Horizon Air provide air service to the Eureka/Arcata airport. Horizon Air is a partner airline with Northwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines. United offers direct service from San Francisco, Sacramento and Portland, OR. Horizon offers direct service from Portland. Make reservations early as Eureka is a popular destination and flights fill quickly.

How To Sign Up
The first step is to contact us via mail, e-mail, or call us toll free at (888) 567-6652 and let us know that you wish to be placed on our seminar list. We will need your name, mailing address and phone number.

Each October our schedule is set for the following year and we mail out the schedule and class descriptions to everyone that is on our seminar list. All class openings are filled on a first come, first served basis. A $100.00 deposit fee will be required for each class requested. The deposit may be paid by check, money order (US Funds) or credit card (Mastercard, Visa or Discover Card only). Once you are accepted this deposit is non-refundable. If your class selections are full, we will send the entire deposit back to you. Once accepted, your deposit(s) are nonrefundable.

Waiting List
If you are interested in a seminar and it is full, we can place you on a waiting list to contact in case of a cancellation. Since we plan our seminar year well in advance, openings do occur, and we will do our best to notify you of an available seat.
