Our goal is to promote, teach and encourage good decorative art. If we are to improve our art form, keep it growing and viable, we all need access to information, cooperation, and most of all, to encourage individual expression. We also need to encourage contemporary expressions as well as traditional. Good contemporary decorative art expressions are the end result of technical expertise, color knowledge, awareness of design principles and knowledge of the traditions that preceded us. We sincerely present the historical perspective, styles, techniques and information in this online guide in good faith, hoping that you'll recognize how welcome we wish you to be and how comfortable we wish you to feel as you pick up the brush and begin your own journey. We invite you to check back often as our vision is for this section to become a valuable resource for All decorative painters. We have gotten some of the sections started with our own material and will be posting up many new articles but will also be including the styles, tips and techniques of our painting friends from around the world. We will present their information and perspectives, introduce you to their work and put you in touch with them.
